One the first day of Christmas....

Here is a very short pictorial journal of our amazing time this Christmas holiday........
My in-laws(above), Jim and Maria and my sister in law and her husband (below), Amanda and Rudy, flew out to stay with us for two weeks - it was AWESOME! Here is a brief look of a few of the high-lights from their visit!
Below Christian is pictured with his dear friends Pablo and Raymundo at the wedding of one of Christians former English students. We picked Amanda and Rudy up from the airport and headed right to the wedding (the reception started at 9:00 at night). We thought we heard wrong when the band said they would play until 6:00am - but that is exactly what they did! (No, we didn't stay that long!)
The annual creation of the ginger bread house..... This year was a great success!
We traveled on the Turi-bus (a tour bus) one day to see the sights. Our favorite was seeing how the downtown square had been turned into "winter in the city" by the government. They put in a huge skating rink and made artificial snow for sledding! It was incredible! It was the only wintry sight we had as the weather was consistently in the 70's here!
Another annual tradition....Christmas cookie decoration!
Christmas morning....
the kids in front of the tree with special balloons that were in their stockings.
In the afternoon on Christmas Day the missionaries joined us for Christmas dinner.
It was delicious!
Here is the kids table!
Ethan, Joshua and Amelia pose in the garden of the Frida Kahlo museum. It was awesome to see the museum located in Frida's home.....but it was a bit of a challenge convincing the kids to be quiet and soak in the art work!
Mimi and Grandpa with the kids also in the museum garden.
We had a surprise birthday party for Rudy and our friend Alexis - they both have their birthdays on December 28th. It was the most awesome time!
Here is a picture of all of us playing games at the birthday party.
On the final day we explored an amazing city called San Miguel de Allende. Our friends Alexis and Alicia and their kids came along with us.....Here are the four boys playing in a park...
Our family pictured outside of one of the cathedrals in San Miguel de Allende.
