Thanksgiving Day in Pictures....
Here is a pictorial diary of our wonderful Thanksgiving Day....
We then went to the boys' school for an advent wreath activity. It was awesome to hear the children and families offer up a prayer of thanks as they inserted one pine branch at a time into the wreath.
After the advent wreath activity I had a chance to share about Thanksgiving with the parents and children and then the boys served everyone some pumpkin pie. It was the first time for everyone there to try pumpkin pie and the loved it!
Then we got ready to go to Margaret's home for our Thanksgiving dinner with our missionary family.
The table was set beautifully and even though we still had a good half hour until it was time to eat my boys were in their seats ready to dig in!
At the end of the night..... when we returned home we were shocked to find this amazing gift at our door. Some dear amazing friends bought us a Christmas tree to tell us how thankful they are for us - the note they left was amazing. The most humbling thing of all is that the gift of this tree means this family will go without a tree themselves this holiday. The Mexican people are some of the most generous, loving people we have encountered.
What an amazing, wonderful day. Thank you Lord Jesus!
