Trip to Tula

Last Friday we took a day trip to a town an hour away called Tula with our friends Alexis and Alicia (and their three kids) - It was such a blast and a real blessing from the Lord. First we went to a park with natural spring pools (meaning they are bath tub temperature....which was awesome!) Below is a picture of Maddie and Joshua racing down the slides....
We then ventured into the center of the town to the market (Alexis and Alicia tell us we should always get to know the city square of each town) - and for 3 dollars each we feasted!
We then drove by the "Giants of Tula" - totem type structures on top of a large pyramid type base that are thousands of years old.... They are way off in the distance in this photo...
And then we drove home - it was such a beautiful drive - it was hard to believe we were so close to the city! What a wonderful day it was.....a chance to step out of the craziness and relax and enjoy! Here is a bit of the landscape we enjoyed on the way home...
